BBB Announces Spectrum as a Finalist for Torch Award

CINCINNATI, Ohio, September 6, 2007  – Spectrum, Inc., a national telecommunications management company, recently learned they have been selected as a finalist for the Better Business Bureau’s 2007 Torch Award. This award gives recognition and honors those businesses and organizations who fully commit to ethical practices in all aspects of their business dealings. The BBB, founded with a mission to ensure that all share in a fair and equitable marketplace, will announce the winners on Thursday, October 25th at Cincinnati Music Hall. Reception and dinner by Jean-Robert de Cavel and his team.

“Too often the news is about the scandals or problems with businesses and nonprofits,” BBB President Jocile Ehrlich said. “Our Torch Awards not only recognize good organizations, but lets our community know that good organizations that are committed to doing the right thing are the norm.” She added that our community has much to be proud of.

The Torch Award finalists were selected by a distinguished panel of independent judges from various industries. The judges evaluated the applications based on the eight judging criteria established by the Council of Better Business Bureaus and the International Torch Award Program.

Businesses were nominated by the community, or self-nominated, and were required to be in good standing with the BBB, although they were not required to be members.

“It is truly an honor and the highest compliment to be recognized for our strong ethics, professionalism and integrity in how we provide our services to our customers.” said Troy J. McCracken, CEO of Spectrum. “The uniqueness about the Torch Award is that it is not based solely on sales revenues or number of employees. The independent panel of judges only selects companies that consistently demonstrate high moral and ethical business practices that return value and support to the communities they serve. Our company is very proud of this recognition.”
