| General Description This position is responsible to present to business owners, IT directors, C-level executives, and presidents of organizations; identify and qualify prospective clients by telephone, cold calls, premise visits, and networking; partner with clients through strategic and consultative sales approach to understand their business needs, issues, strategies and priorities to deliver a value-adding business solution; present, propose, negotiate and close new business utilizing consultative sales approach and telecommunications needs analysis; develop, implement and manage actions to cross-sell and up-sell services to new and existing clients earning additional business; document all initial and on-going customer contracts; provide accurate and detailed sales forecasts of identified and proposed opportunities ensuring sales quota attainment; must be able to meet specific quota expectations on a monthly basis; continue to train and develop knowledge of new technologies and selling points, including enhancing expertise of TEM; participate in weekly sales meeting and training meetings.
Skills & Requirements
. Minimum 2-year degree or equivalent experience.
. Minimum 3-4 years in a business development role within a B2B environment.
. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and goal oriented individual who expects to out-perform.
. Excellent communication, presentation, qualifying, closing and negotiation skills.
. Clear understanding of the telecommunications industry, and wireline/wireless solutions.
. Verifiable track record of success within a prior business development role.
. Ability to prospect and uncover new opportunities as well as provide account management functions.
. Proven ability to solve business issues by providing a value added solution to clients.
